When pulling together the cast for Scratch we knew we needed people who could make an impression in the limited time afforded them by a short film while bringing an authenticity to the strange array of characters that occupy the movie’s dark world. To do so we pulled from veteran actors of the New York stage, a professional mime (among his many talents), the American Academy of Dramatic Art, and even the NYPD.
